5 Weeks to Better Understanding Covid-19 is a webinar series running once a week from July 8th - August 5th on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. The series will feature guest speakers, ranging from city officials to public health experts, educating an audience on a variety of topics pertaining to how Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) plans on reopening. The goal of this webinar series is to ensure equitable access of information pertaining to Covid-19 to members of the Greater Charlotte Area, especially students. This is to ensure that student voices are heard pertaining to policy implemented by CMS for resuming school. Participants will be provided an outlet for their ideas and will gain valuable experience in fields including but not limited to policy, medicine, education, and public health.

7/22: Mental Health and COVID-19: Gaps in Available Healthcare, Healthcare Disparities
7/29: Impacts of COVID-19 on the Economy and Job Market: Weighing the Risks of Reopening
8/5: Athletics and Covid-19: Is it Safe?
